Hello!

Hi, I’m Heather! I’m a young professional with a passion for storytelling.

I accomplish this through:

  • Creating and executing thoughtful communication and content strategies.

  • Moderating and speaking in social audio, virtual and in-person spaces.

  • Asking insightful questions to learn about my network and connect whenever possible.

MY BACKGROUND

Prior to starting my career in corporate communications, I have always enjoyed writing, and I really enjoy sharing other people’s stories. I started on the path of journalism, which gave me a great foundation for developing my writing skills, learning how to build relationships, and developing a mindset of lifelong learning.

After gaining experience at news outlets in Orange County, Boston and Washington, D.C., through career exploration post-graduation from @boston University I applied my journalism skillset to corporate communications at @American Honda where I have worked for the past five years.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I have personally experienced both highs and lows, making time for personal and professional development, focusing on my career, and relationship-building, all while learning to take time for self-care.  

It is because of these experiences that I value knowledge, diversity of thought, and connecting with others, values that are shared by the @Thought Leadership Branding Club which I am grateful to be part of as the Director of Content Strategy.
